Erin concentrates her practice on business litigation and labor and employment litigation and counseling. Prior to joining LaDue Curran & Kuehn, Erin served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Miller, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. During this time, Erin assisted in conducting legal research and drafting judicial opinions analyzing a broad range of complex civil and criminal matters, including employment disputes, federal statutory claims, commercial litigation, and insurance matters. She also assisted in the administration and resolution of class actions and cases transferred for coordinated pretrial proceedings by the United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation. Before returning to South Bend for her clerkship, Erin formerly practiced general civil litigation in the Chicago office of a national, full-service law firm, representing clients in a diverse range of matters, including product liability and mass tort suits, securities litigation, commercial contract disputes, civil RICO claims, and SEC investigations.
Erin was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. She graduated from Northwestern University with honors in 2002, receiving a B.A. in Environmental Science and a B.A. in Political Science.
In 2005, Erin earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she served as Notes Editor for the University of Illinois Law Review. She earned the Rickert Award for Excellence in Legal Publications after being published in the University of Illinois Law Review and the Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal Award of Excellence in Legal Research and Writing. Prior to graduating from law school, Erin externed for the Honorable Christopher A. Nuechterlein of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana and the Honorable E. Kenneth Wright, Jr. of the Cook County Circuit Court in Chicago, Illinois.
Erin is admitted to practice in the states of Indiana and Illinois, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Erin is a member of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association, American Bar Association, St. Joseph County Bar Association, and Robert A. Grant Inn of Court.
